Hilliard Guess

Writer-Director-Executive Producer

Hilliard grew up in Palo Alto, California ‐ not the Stanford side, but the east side, the "Dangerous Minds" side. He got the acting bug at age 12 and by the time he finished highschool he had a SAG Card, moved to San Francisco and was earning a good living in theater, commercials and Music Videos.

Hilliard relocated to LA and landed Guest spots on some of the top TV shows. Coming from an acting background, screenwriting was a natural progression. He's studied with some of the top screenwriting gurus and in 2007 he participated in the Cosby TV Writers Fellowship and in 2008 the Nickelodeon Writer's Lab.

Hilliard’s Film, TV, and Short scripts have placed in competitions such as: The Sundance Institute, Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, The PAGE Awards, Scriptapalooza, Horror Screenplay Contest, Tri Destined Studios, AAA Competition and Screenwriters Expo. Hilliard cowrote and co‐produced the horror film "BLACKOUT," with Vivamorem Entertainment. It received an International straight‐to‐video release in 2006.

Hilliard is on the Education Committee of The Organization of Black Screenwriters (OBS) where he teaches alongside a great team of writers for the OBS On Tour Program. In 2009, Hilliard launched Hilldog Productions, a Film and TV Company geared toward producing Hilliard's many projects. TROUBLESOME marks Hilliard's debut as a film director and Executive Producer.
