Ilinca Neagu

Romanian movie director and photographer, currently living in Bruxelles, Belgium. In 2005 starts studying at the prestigious "U.N.A.T.C. "I.L. Caragiale" Film School in Bucharest, Romania. During her time there, she directs four short features and one short documentary, both on film - 35mm, 16mm and super16 - and digital. In 2007 she attends a workshop on "Directing Actors" at the London Film School. In parallel to her movie directing activity she works as a photographer, being awarded Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards in Los Angeles in 2008. Her latest two movies, know the most success. "Dulciuri Nocturne"/"Midnight Delight" is screened at 4 important film festivals in Romania, amongst which the Independent Producer's International Film Festival and the CineMaiubit International Film Festival. "Ploaie in desert"/"Desert Rain", her latest, is released at the end of 2009 during the CineMaiubit International Film Festival, where it wins the Best Sound for Film award. It is also selected for the Short Film Corner in Cannes, 12th-23rd of May. In 2010 she also attended the Talent Campus at the Berlin Film Festival.
