Personal Profile

Westland Armitage

Westland Armitage is a filmmaker whose work has screened in various film festivals in Europe and in North America. Film critic Adrien Gombeaud, in his write up in the French news journal LES ECHOS, cited his work as curious and atmospherically disturbing.

His last project, the mysterious and erotic THREE IN THE MORNING (2007), has managed to get banned on YouTube, screen for Lisa Vandever’s cutting edge porn film festival CineKink, and place as an award winner in Crushed Planet’s California Online Film Festival, an event curated by the producers of HBO’s TAXICAB CONFESSIONS.

His latest, TROJANS (2009), is inspired partially by the 1970’s horror anthology NIGHT GALLERY, as well as by his own predilection for the surreal. The film was recently screened at the Vampire Film Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He currently resides in Northern California.
