Rubin Stein

Rubin Stein was born in Cáceres, Spain in 1982. From a Circus family, he grew up in several European cities. He is Image&Sound Engineer and got his degree in Filmmaking at the Salamanca University. Professionally, he has worked as screenwriter, director assistant and editor in plenty of TV series, operas and short films.

In 2006 he directs ‘Timewords’, a UNICEF documentary. In 2008, his digital short film ‘Close your eyes’ was awarded by including it in the ‘Jara: best short films catalogue’ and was screened at many international festivals.

‘Panic to a ridiculous death’ is his first 35 mm short film.
