Simone Massi

Simone Massi was Born in Pergola, Italy, on May 1970. Ex-worker, of peasants origin, he studied Film Animation at the Art School of Urbino. Fiercely independent animator, he has conceived and realized (alone and entirely by hand) a dozen small animation films that have been shown in 54 Countries of 5 Continents and have collected over 200 awards. In 2012 he was awarded with David di Donatello (the Italian Oscar) and the Venice Film Festival with a retrospective, realized the opening sequence and the poster of Venice Film Festival. Massi has been further honored with a retrospective in Venice of his work as an animated film director.
