Nildo Essa

Founder/Owner of FX,lda, Nildo is born on the 25th of July in 1977, and has a degree in Architecture, class of 2002.
Passionate about Movies, specifically animation movies, Nildo is self-taught in everything that relates to graphic design and computer animation.
Before opening his own animation studio in 2004, still in college and after awhile, he worked as a freelancer for various reputed companies including DDB Moz, RGB filmes /Golo among others, in several campaigns for companies such as Coca Cola, OMO, 2M, Vodacom and several other productions for TV.
Among the various works throughout his professional career, in 2006, Nildo starts a professional relationship of 6 years with a Local Brand of Rice, called "Arroz Leão" where he developed and produced more than 30 television spots whose main character (also created by him) was "Pipito", in the same year, he signed an agreement with "Save the Children" to produce a DVD with 15 episodes, talking about children's rights.

In mid-2010, he produces a short film for "Arroz Leão" of about 3 minutes and later that year he starts the project "Os Pestinhas" (The Brats) a group of three characters whose main purpose is to spread educational messages but in a fun out going way.

Using "Os Pestinhas", in 2011 he directs/produces and animates an awareness campaign about water perservation for CRA (Water Regulatory Council) and a second campaign with a total of 5 animations for TVM (Television of Mozambique) for the All African games 2011.

In late 2011 he launches the first animated short film of about two minutes called "Tio xixiteiro" which addresses a common local problem of pollution where people urinate on trees.

In early 2012 he begins his second short film, with about 12 minutes in duration, called "The Brats and the Toy Thief"
