David-Matthew Barnes

David-Matthew Barnes is the award-winning author of nine novels, including the young adult novels Mezmerized, Swimming to Chicago, and Wonderland. Forthcoming titles include Fifty Yards and Holding and The Marijuana Mermaids. He is the writer and director of the films Frozen Stars and Threnody. He is the author of over forty stage plays that have been performed in three languages in eight countries. His literary work has appeared in over one hundred publications. Barnes is on the faculty of the Spalding University brief-residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing Program where he mentors students in playwriting, screenwriting, and writing for children and young adults. Barnes lives in the city of Denver where he serves as the CEO of Fairground CineFilms.
