Ben Tolpin

Ben booked his very first professional audition as an actor- a national commercial- when he was 19. Since then he has appeared in over 75 national commercials, including various Super Bowl commercials for companies: Anheuser-Busch, FedEx, Motorola, and Samsung. He was the spokesperson for TGIFridays appearing for them in a multitude of national commercials, internet spots, and personal appearances around the country. He has worked in commercials with such notable film directors as, Doug Liman (Swingers, The Bourne Identity), Bobby Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber), Tony Kaye (American History X), Will Speck/ Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory), Phil Morrison (Junebug, Upright Citizens Brigade TV show) Jesse Dylan (Kicking and Screaming), and Errol Morris (The Fog of War).

In television, he most recently appeared in the recurring guest role of Zachary, on season 8 of Weeds. Other notable notable credits include a guest lead on NCIS, and Gordo, as a regular role on the sitcom, The Mullets.

Ben has been an on-going performer of long-form improvisation at IO West and has performed with Upright Citizens Brigade. In theater he is most proud to have played Roy Selridge in Biloxi Blues at Pasadena Playhouse where he performed for Neil Simon himself.

Over the past six years, Ben has been writing and producing his own work. Ben has been in consideration at several television networks for pilots he wrote and presentations he produced. Broken Up marks Ben’s film directorial debut He is managed by Steven Siebert at Lighthouse Entertainment
