Amal Al-Agroobi

Amal Al-Agroobi completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Neurosciences, continuing her research in disorders of the brain in Brussels and London. In the UAE, she continued with entrepreneurship and investment endeavours.

While in London, she obtained a certificate in short film production, certificate in acting for film and continued gaining experience in acting for TVC’s and feature films. In 2011, she left the field of science to pursue her love for film and joined the production company Image Nation, Abu Dhabi on a 6-month traineeship program.

Amal completed her first short documentary, Half Emirati and is now in development with her feature The Brain that Sings, which follows the lives of children with autism in the UAE.
