Angela Jones

Angela Jones started her writing career as a news writer in Miami in 1996.
In 1997, she joined the NBC owned and operated WTVJ as an associate producer and was then promoted to Line Producer and weekend Executive Producer. In 2001, she became a Senior Writer for the HLN news network, and was later promoted to Senior Writer/Producer in Marketing.
She has successfully written several TV Spec Scripts and original film scripts.
Among her notable accomplishments, Jones was responsible for writing and serving as Executive Producer for her short film ‘Checkmate,” a selection screened in the 2011 BronzeLens Film festival. She has also served as script supervisor and writer for the 2012 Red Letter Awards for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).
Jones is actively working on several projects including a short film script to be shot for the 2013 festival circuit.
Jones is a Miami native who holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Union Institute and University in Miami, Florida.
