Personal Profile

Sasha Gibson

Film PR specialist with over 15 years experience working in the film and entertainment business, developing and managing communication strategies for film at both production and theatrical level. Two campaigns I managed have been acknowledged at the Screen International Marketing and Distribution Awards - StreetDance 3D (dir. Dania Pasquini, Max Giwa) won Best Theatrical Campaign in 2010, and The Woman in Black (dir. James Watkins) has been nominated at this year's event. Both films I managed from unit to release, and are an example of the benefits that can be reaped from capitalising on the energy of the film making process, laying the foundations for a strong release campaign.

Additional production credits include Ironclad (dir. Jonathan English), Horrid Henry (dir. Nick Moore), The Importance Of Being Earnest (dir. Oliver Parker), Mean Machine (dir. Barry Skolnick) and more recently Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, Crispian Mills’ A Fantastic Fear of Everything and Ruairi Robinson's Last Days On Mars.

Theatrical releas campaigns include About A Boy (dir. Chris & Paul Weitz), The Holiday (dir. Nancy Meyers), Nanny McPhee (dir. Kirk Jones), Mr Bean's Holiday (dir. Steve Bendelack), (500) Days Of Summer (dir. Marc Webb), Be Cool (dir. F Gary Gray), Catch A Fire (dir. Phillip Noyce), South of The Border (dir. Oliver Stone) and the Academy winning documentary The Cove (dir. Louie Psihoyos).
