Personal Profile

Amélie Ravalec

Paris-based director, Amélie Ravalec started to work on her first documentary, “Paris/Berlin: 20 Years of Underground Techno” early 2010. She shot several clips for techno artists, and played as both a vj and dj. She created in 2011 Fondation Sonore, a french-belgium foundation which's focus is mainly on industrial techno and weird electronic music through pluridisciplinary events and a record label.
With “Paris/Berlin”, she met and interviewed techno artists from all over the world, who all belong to either the parisian or berliner underground techno scene. The movie features the “low-key” actors of that scene who, according to the original spirit of techno, are primarily devoted to music. It's been released on May 2012 and screened internationally.
