David Barba

David Barba was born and raised in Mexico. He graduated from Stanford University where he received his BA in Feminist Studies and then worked in the film industries in London, New York and Mexico City. His films XP - recipient of a Sloan Foundation Production Grant - and Adiós, para siempre, have screened around the world and garnered several festival awards. He is a graduate of the two-year Meisner acting program with Suzanne Esper at the Esper Studio in New York. David holds an MFA in Film Direction from the Columbia University School of the Arts and is co-director with James Pellerito of the feature documentary Pop Star on Ice and the documentary series Be Good Johhny Weir.
