Benoit Desjardins

Benoit Desjardins is an anthropologist and a filmmaker. He lives and works in Montréal, Québec, his homeland. Adventurous, he travelled in several countries. His passion for cinema is directly linked with his facination for human beings. His field of exploration remains the perception of self and of others.

He helds a university degree in film production from Université de Montréal. In 2006, he founded Les Production Perceptions. Since then, he produced and directed five short films which won different awards in Québec : Gino (2006); Scatterbrain (2006); Le monde à l’envers… (2007); A fishing story (2008). In 2010, he produces and directs is first documentary intitled « On retourne au sous-sol – La francophonie des jeunes à Edmonton » and the short film Chewing-gum.
