Christine Mcdermott

Christine McDermott's filmmaking career began early in college. As an assistant camera and a member or of the production crew, she learned that in order to be invaluable on set you must be the first person to get to work and the last one to call it a day. A solid work ethic and a willingness to be involved in every way possible is essential. During her college years, she worked as crew on over 20 independent productions throughout the North East.

In 2009 Christine was hired for her first feature film gig as an assistant camera for the production of Birth of Separation. During the rigorous 5 day shoot, Christine met her filmmaking and founding partners of the Federal Film Reserve, LLC including writer/director Louis Mansfield. Immediately following the company's formation, wanting to have a hand in every aspect of each of the company's productions, she began producing. Since 2009 Christine has produced all of the Federal Film Reserve productions including 4 short films, a collection of promotional videos, and artist collaborative music videos.

The FFR's 2012 short film, Whom God Helps, has screened inernationally on three contents and was a 2012 official selection in 13 film festivals.

Currently Christine is producing and wrapping post production on the company's fourth short film, Among The Innocent. The team is also currently seeking funding for their biggest endeavor yet, feature film Old Man In France a charming story of a grumpy old man in a retirement home finding a second wind in life.
