Personal Profile

Scott Lewis

Scott is an all around filmmaker based in Melbourne Australia. His work began with several experimental pieces and has moved into more linear narrative shorts, whilst still retaining an abstract edge within them.
Scott fell in love with the concept of film making at a very early age and used any opportunity possible to develop the craft through the secondary education system.
He completed a diploma in Auidio/Visual production preceding this, but soon realized that the most appropriate education for himself individually would come from practical exposure to the industry. Therefore he set out on the rocky road of trial and error and fostered the passion by producing low budget films, experimental pieces and worked at almost all crew roles on local student productions.
Scott has recently founded Zoo Patrol Productions, a video production company that earns him a living through music videos, web clips, educational videos, documentary and live event documenting.
Since moving to Melbourne ten years ago to further his career he has also held workshops in film editing, organized and curated short film festivals and been invited to teach film techniques at Monash University.
This forthcoming year will see Scott taking on a variety of projects from a documentary in Egypt, an experimental film for the Poetry In Film Festival. Completion of a TV pilot and if all goes well, a tour of festivals with the recently completed short film ‘Lily’.
