Alberto Martin

Alberto Martin was born in Turin on 5/7/1983. Passionate for drawing since childhood, he starts to draw same comincs and shoot some very amatorial short film at the highschool time. He starts to study Comunication at the university and to travel a lot, doing at same time many works, having also an experience like camera assistant for the local TV-news, and taking part in University press selection for Torino Film Festival 2005. The most important travel experiences are periods in Scotland (Glasgow), Belgium (Liege) and Estonia (Tallinn). In 2006 he shoots is first short: Il Terrore è Alla Frutta, and in 2007 La Lingua Comune (The Common Language), his real first work, made in Liege. La Lingua Comune gift him also his first prize: best short in PiemonteMovie2008 (Turin). After he get the bachelor degree in Comunication he start a one-year course organized from Regione Piemonte and take one techincal specialization in Video-shooting and Video-Editing. At same time he starts also study for his master degree Audiovisual and Multimidial Rappresentation, Turin University (DAMS). In this years he starts to work like production assistant for different film production in Turin, Fiction-Tv and Commericals. In 2008 he realize Hasta Manana, his third short. In february, on 2009, he take also the master degree and at the beginning of july he move to Estonia to realize Plato’s Cave 2.0, film then presented in 2010’s edition of PiemonteMovie (Turin, Italy). Then in 2010 he realizes togheter with Manuele Di Siro and Giorgio Alloatti “Sono Qui”, short film realized with a collective direction.
