Ly de Angeles

Award-winning author and film maker Ly de Angeles currently lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.

Educated at the Independent Theatre School of Drama in Sydney de Angeles won her first writing competition aged 11 and was first published in 1987. She writes both fiction and non-fiction and won the 2006 USA COVR Visionary Fiction Award for The Quickening, An Urban Legend, published in 2006.

Currently in script development for 'Bakery Hill', an historically based feature-length drama, Ly has also had time to write, direct and co produce 'Wings', a short black comedy.

'The Redemption of Joe Frame' was her first film, followed by a documentary, Nobody. She is also in post-production on her third short film, Vengeance.
