Personal Profile

Roberto Meza Mont

Roberto was born in 1977 in Lima, Peru. He studied business, though he quickly understood that it wasn’t for him, and so he decided to move abroad. He arrived in Sydney in 2000 to discover a new life, without limitations, to realize his dreams.

In Sydney, Roberto worked many different jobs, learning English while studying acting. His acting career includes appearances in commercials for Pepsi, Old El Paso and Nokia, short films such as Swallow and This Girl from the Desert, the feature film Candy alongside Geoffrey Rush and Heath Ledger, and the opera version of Bruce Beresford's A Streetcar Named Desire.

Roberto's passion for storytelling eventually inspired him to start writing his own screenplays. Eugenio en el Paraiso is the first short film written/directed/produced by Roberto, in which he also appears as actor. It is also his first submission to a film festival.

Roberto is currently in pre-production of his next short film.
