Dafne Romero

Dafne Romero is an independent filmmaker. She has worked in the film industry in Vancouver in Lighting, Production Assistant and Assistant Camera. Boom Operator and talent for student films at Concordia University, Cinematographer in 16 mm for a shorth film in Montreal. Produced and direct video projects for Non-profit organizations, Parks Canada, Haida Fisheries, Assitstant Research UBC Geography, Curator member for a photo journalism exhibition at UBC museum of Anthropology in B.C. Production Manger for Southern Time Theater Company and Mentor for Introduction on Video filming for haida youth. Film Programmer since 2001. She has volunteered as: Assistant Exhibition for Vancouver International Film Festival 2005, Volunteer Coordinator for Queer Film 2004 Festival, Proposal writer for Vancouver Lationamerican Film Festival 2005.She moved to Haida Gwaii founded The Haida Gwaii Film Festival in 2009 to present she is the Artistic Director and Programmer. She also has produced, directed and edited various films for Non Profit organizations and schools.
