Personal Profile

Andrea Chiozzotto

I was born in the splendid historical city of Venice in Italy. As a teenager I developed three strong passions: Still photography; Music; Technology. The merge of these three passions subconsciously made me approaching cinematography which I learned directly on set from great cinematographers.
For a period of over twenty years I got involved in a high number of productions, working my way up the Camera Department. My experience comes from movie sets as diverse as Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, Until The End Of The World, The Wings Of The Dove and Lasse Hallström’s Casanova.

In 1996 I specialised as Cinematographer and I filmed a few feature films and documentaries, including "Carlo Goldoni: Venice, Grand Theatre of the World", "The Tomb Robbery Papyrus: Notes of a Past" and countless music videos for artists published on labels such as Sony-BMG, EMI, Warner Music and Universal Music.

My expertise is made by a mix of developed technical skills and a natural artistic flair which allow me to shape the canvas in a profound way via researched techniques. I manage to convey all my work on film quickly and efficiently thanks to my ability of being open and understanding with directors and my nurturing a team driven by true love for the art of cinematography.
I have been living and working in many parts of the world; in fact those places act as one of the greatest sources of inspiration for ever challenging narrative looks.
