Power Walk

A woman on a routine walk becomes the center of a spontaneous campaign which quickly turns malicious.

Film notes

The short was originally written to take place on a wooded trail for a one-day shoot. The crew managed to film about ten minutes of footage at a public park before Burbank's finest shut down the production for not obtaining a permit.

Forced to relocate without a Plan B, and rapidly losing light, the production moved to the home of the writer and director, where the crew spent hours mapping out a one-take plan around the block, but then ditching it completely.

Four hours before sundown, the troops rallied and improvised, resulting in a revised scene at the dumpster, and a new ending to accommodate a new location and lighting changes.

From beginning to end, each cast and crew member powered through to get it done.
