Short Film Profile

A children's writer at the end of his career is looking for one more story he can sell to a publisher and his muse is trying to push him towards greatness.

Film notes

All great artists have muses, but the collaborations don't always go smoothly. The muse wants to tell a great story, the author wants to make some money and pay the bills. This difference in goals can be brutal on the relationship when both players are determined to win.

The writer and producer, Rebecca Bartlett, met director/producer Jason Prugar when he joined the BWG Critters Writer's Group. She discussed working on adapting a short story with him. The result was Musings. This is the first film Jason directed that was not from his own script or a script he collaborated on.
