Short Film Profile

Gabanì - Due Volte Campione

It was in 1961, on the centenary of the Unity of Italy and the world of cycling was dreaming of an Italian winning the ‘Giro d’Italia’. Arnaldo Pambianco, called Gabanì by everybody, answered the calling-up and managed to take the pink T-shirt home in Romagna, in his beloved Bertinoro. Panbianco was an athlete belonging to the history of cycling, but not only this. Arnaldo is also a champion in his life: a man capable of feeling and stirring up emotions but with a warrior character. Arnaldo’s life is traced through historical reconstructions, and interviews of the most famous epic cycling’s personalities, whose Pambianco belonged to (Felice Gimondi, Vittorio Adorni, Ercole Baldini, Marino Bartoletti, Sergio Zavoli).
