Film notes

Welcome all,
I want to thank you all for coming out to see our film. This film has been a long journey for all involved. When we first endeavored to tell our story the script resembled something more akin to Drag me to Hell then the psychological portrait we ended up with. We figured out that our story was strong enough to live, if only we could carve away all the gimmicks and flash. We feel we’ve done just that and that what we have for you today is a film that surpasses even our expectations of what a film should be and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our work with the world.
Using the story of Orpheus and Eurydice as inspiration, our film follows Angie’s attempt to get her husband back and redeem herself for her infidelity. I like to define the thesis of the piece as “Love will fail you.” A strong stance, but even at its earliest phases the film told us what it wanted to be, and it wanted to be dark.
As our thesis, this was our chance to make the kind of piece that we wanted to make. We were enabled to do so because of the love and support of our crew and our thesis mentors at Dodge College at Chapman University. It was a lot of hard work and we all think it was worth the headaches, strained muscles and long, sleepless nights.
We had a blast making the movie and I hope that you all will have as much fun watching it.

Thank you,

Christopher Fernandez
