Florence, a woman in her early thirties, decides to break up with Travis, a married man. She’s preparing herself in front of her bathroom mirror. A rehearsal of a conversation about to happen. Living a dream, dreaming a lie, as an appeal to and a reflection on an assumed lost and disintegrating world in this personal confessional box of hers. She wanders, she wonders. Through her apartment, through the remnants of a shared past. A meditation of sorts. She leaves her apartment, and walks through Paris, the city of lights and broken hearts, to the place where they agreed to meet, the small café at the corner. She walks her line of thought over and over again, trying to find a little happiness along the way. She follows her emotional tread through a kaleidoscope of fragments of memories and reminiscences. A rhythmic and nostalgic journey through this modern day asphalt jungle. The small café at the corner, where they’ve been dreaming so often, about a shared future, as the place for their final goodbye. The end of a sentimental journey. They break up. She stays behind all alone, dancing, in a constant and contemplative game of push and pull, trying to shed the emotional marks left behind. Fate loves the fearless.
