Sounds of Life

Christina loves the sounds of life.

Film notes

Sounds of Life is the view of an inner world, reality that grows out from a deep need; the response to an unheard act of violence.
I tried to tell a story of violence, by keeping off pietism and rethoric. The point of view is from the victim, but she is never in such passive manner. She holds on, trying to keep hold of her life, as a warrior, with everything she’s got: sounds from the outside help her to create a safe place where taking refuge during the storm.
According to my idea, the musical piece serves to the purpose of stressing the abstraction’s atmosphere that is carried out by Cristina and, also, by the employment of a dof that has been shrank up as much as possible, accentuating, in that way, her prisoner status.
The latter end symbolize the real violent scene, and when the sound becomes rather disturbing, the victim’s response is even stronger, changing and moulding reality from something different, more endurable.
I wanted to let to the viewer the chance of rending the ending scene, that back hard on sounds shifts.
