Yek Chiz
One Thing
Iran | 2010 | 39:00 | Fiction, Live Action
Watching a film that he had made, Baqer, a schizophrenic patient of an insane asylum, remembers details of his own past. In the film he is directing a play. He is repulsed by the acting of the male protagonist. The actor's wife is also watching but leaves the rehearsal at some point. Baqer has an uncanny relationship with her. When the actor returns home, he finds his wife in rage. Without prior notice, she cuts her wrist. What follows is a set of events shaped by Baqer's scattered memories. Through these images, he gradually approaches the precipice. As Baqer's real past is revealed the more his tolerance for a forgotten past is challenged.
