Film notes

José Chaves was born in 1982 in Lisbon. He was called José because of a family tradition, his father and his grandfather had the same name, and so on for generations. When he was a child his father was a ship captain and he was always traveling around the world, since that time josé was always curious about other country's.As he could not travel with his father, he did that by traveling with music, having private lessons of piano since he was 12 years old, and going by several experimental bands until today. When he was 18 he bought two things that changed his live, he bought a concertina and a van. With the concertina and the van he started traveling with music around all europe, meeting other artists of several areas.
With the same age he went to university in Lisbon to study publicity and marketing, and later audiovisuals and multimedia. Since that time José Chaves developed a creative cinematography language between music and experimental video art, that has been positively accepted among the critics. In the year of 2009 he was invited by a friend to come work to Macau and he accepted.

He came to Asia to learn another culture and to continue with his art.
