Film notes

A satire of the BBC shows that used to run on USA PBS stations teaching the elements of the game of chess.

Philip Haynes and John Wardlaw made an amatuer film about a chess game when they were 18 years old. It was shot on super 8 film and with only one camera angle. Eleven years later John Wardlaw remade the film professionally on 16mm film. The new film kept much of the script but updated the quality look and feel of the film.
