Short Film Profile

Crackle and Space

Emily Masterson, passive and scared since the loss of her child, hardly speaks to her husband, Troy, as they politely pass each other in cluttered hallways on grey Sunday mornings. An unemployable plagiarist, Troy recedes into adolescent behaviors to deal with his grief, lobbing nonchalant insults at his wife as he flicks lit matches at her beloved cello. Unable to communicate with her slacker husband, Emily must attempt to reconnect on her own or risk losing herself to the dark dreams and wasted days of depression.

Haunted by scars and nightmares, Emily is forced to either reassemble the busted pieces of her life or walk away from the debris forever.
