Short Film Profile


An Indian villager, born in the village but brought up in Mumbai, the financial capital of India, fancied by the life of Mumbai, hardly wants to get back to his village.

A hardcore ‘Mumbaikar’, spending 12 long years in this lavish metro, finds himself very difficult to go back to his village. Especially when his parents want him to settle in village. To keep up his parents wish, he decides to visit the village, one fine day.

He decides to travel by his posh motorbike only to find out that it gets stuck on the way. There he comes across several villagers. Crossing 2 miles of the village and observing each aspect of the village, he realizes that he needs to take a U turn. Flashes of hurried images of his childhood days come in front of his eyes… he realizes the importance of his village wants to return back to the village.

Film notes

The story is very simple, yet very strong. It carries a strong social message of eradicating a problem by working from the roots and respecting one’s origin.
