Short Film Profile

The Curiosity of Penny Parker

A children's nursery rhyme takes on a whole new meaning in this delightfully dark tale about a little girl and her cell phone addicted mother.

Film notes

Director Statement
"For me, Penny Parker was really made to show that kids still have power no matter how weak they can feel in times of neglect, especially within divorce. I came from a divorced family and when I was a kid there were such strange feelings of confusion and that I had no power to change any of these adult things that were going on. So, Penny’s just took shape out of that and allowed me to explore the power of children. They are the future of our world, but there are times where our selfishness takes over and we forget that and the kids are left to suffer the neglect.
