Short Film Profile

Quidam d'Gomme

In Paris, a pessimistic man, named Edgar, undergoes the infernal and repetitive ordinariness of his daily life. One day, a sheep lands on the roof opposite his flat. From then on, and in parallel with the more and more absurd activities of the sheep, the routine of Edgar turns into a psychedelic experience based on transformations, animal metamorphosis and other spectacular changes. At first intrigued by this new existence, Edgar eventually becomes afraid in front of this hallucinatory crescendo giving rhythm, from now on, to his life. He decides, then, to make the sheep disappear. With a catapult, he shoots at the animal which falls behind the roof with its eccentric installations. Edgar is relieved, he recovers the normal and monotonous pace of his day-to-day-existence.
