The Domestication of Humans

Ted Newman, disillusioned father and husband, reels from spliff to spliff; deeply dissatisfied with the compromises he has made for his wife and two delinquent sons. Ted's wife Carol, is losing patience with her husband's antics. Bill Thomas and his wife Kate try to dissuade their daughter Chance, a ambitious young writer, to change professions, whilst Chance simply hungers for a more meaningful existence than her parents.

As night falls, each family embarks on their own adventure and over the course of the night, the parties culminate in ultimate spiritual and emotional chaos which transforms each of their lives forever.

Film notes

In the tradition of 'The Ice Storm' and 'American Beauty', the film depicts the dysfunctional lives of two families and their affluent suburban existence.
