Short Film Profile

Das Geheime Kino

Every month The Mysterious Film Club Buio Omega screens a double-feature programme of rare exploitation films from the golden days of yore. The five cineastes specialize in European films of the sixties to eighties, complementing the programme with suitable films from all over the world. For over five years the club has brought the funny and bizarre, scary and controversial, trash and art films back to the big screen at Schauburg (Gelsenkirchen, Germany), a movie palace full of atmosphere and rich in tradition. A curious little boy is being attracted by the strange goings-on and tries to reveal the secret surrounding the mysterious film club. It becomes an adventurous journey into the world of forbidden images, in which everything is possible and nothing is sacred…
