Mariusz Frukacz (1976) – Polish film critic and promoter of animated film. He graduated from film and media studies at Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. In 1998-99 he worked at IFF "ETIUDA" and Krakow Film Festival. Since 2000 he has been a program director at National Festival of Author’s Animated Films OFAFA in Poland. A lecturer at a few Film Discussion Clubs and a freelance animated film programmer (Zagreb, Prague, Nuremberg, Stockholm, Warsaw, etc). Author of a book "24 frames per second. The discourses about animation" (Cracow, 2009) – interviews with young Polish directors of animated films. Co-author of the following book publications: "Tekstylia Bis. Dictionary of the young Polish culture" (Cracow, 2006) and "Polish animated film" (Warsaw, 2008). He writes for KINO Magazine and MRÓWKOJAD. Co-author of film selection "Action Animation. The Most Recent Films" (Polish Audiovisual Publishers, 2009).
