Jon Lewis

Jon is a long time film industry professional with a strong background in executive management, having founded and run a translation subtitling company and then a post-production business that was sold to Technicolor.
Since moving to tropical Salvador, Bahia in the northeast of Brazil in 2004, he became passionate about Brazilian culture, fluent in Portuguese and developed a network of contacts in municipal and state government. In this time he gradually moved from post production to production, location scouting and fixing for a range of academics, photographers, cineastes, and producing short films for community based NGOs.
More recently Jon started Mangaba Productions not only to provide local support for overseas productions in Bahia and throughout Brazi but also to produce films.
Recent projects include Directing a videoclip for the sambista Juliana Ribeiro, as well as several short films focussing on brazilian cultural identity.
