Miro Mastropasqua

Miro Mastropasqua is a Czech-Italian filmmaker living in Berlin.
In 2001 he moves to Berlin to start in 2002 an internship by the armenian film director Don Askarian helping him with the film (Ararat, Deutschland 2004).
In 2004 he receives his BA in literature science in Rome and continues with cinema studies at FAMU in Prague. In 2005 he works in Berlin as Production Manager (Unschuld, Deutschland 2008). In 2006 he begins a very prolific collaboration as editor in chief with the media group XENON, part of national german broadcasting RBB Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg. In 2009 he starts to work at MTV Networks as Video Producer. In the same year he produces the Music Video Candygirl, screened by MTV, Deutsche Welle, Stash TV, XVII Black International Cinema and Art Takes Miami 2010, nominated at Athen Video Art Film Festival and being distributed by Stash Media in USA/Canada and Slices Magazine in Europe. In 2010 he starts an artistic collaboration with Maria Hengge, the William Blake Session, supported by Wien Kultur in Austria and Balleteatro in Portugal.
In 2011 he launches and establishes his own film production miroimages based in Berlin and starts the artistic project fade up with german photographer Tobias Kruse from Ostkreuz Agentur der Fotografen, winner at ArtByChance Film festival and selected by Marianne Brandt Wettbewerb in Chemnitz, Germany. Shortly thereafter a new artistic collaboration with Grimm Museum in Berlin gives birth to the video art everything makes sense in the reverse, screened at Director’s Lounge Film Festival 2012 in Berlin. In 2013 Miro Mastropasqua produces and directs the middle-length film HAZOR, in collaboration with Videomaniacs Filmproduktion. HAZOR got the price as best experimental narrative at International Black Cinema Film Festival and takes part to Generation Campus – Moscow international Film Festival. All his works have been shown and distributed in Germany, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Portugal.
