Anna Isabelle Matutina
ANNA ISABELLE MATUTINA graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications in the University of the Philippines. She first made her mark as an editor for soap operas in a major television network in the Philippines. When she got chosen out of 300 applicants to take part in a scriptwriting workshop under award-winning scriptwriter, Ricky Lee, her exposure to film widened, urging her to learn more about the art. After two years of working in the network, she resigned and took up a short course in Digital Filmmaking at the Mowelfund Film Institute. Upon graduating from the workshop in 2004, it didn’t take long for her to produce, write, direct, and edit her first digital short film. This was followed by many other independent projects where she helped as producer, editor, production designer, and assistant director while producing her own films. She currently works as a television editor for an award-winning documentary show to sustain her filmmaking.
