Kassey Huang was born in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. During her university years, she completed two films about the exploration of the female body. “Exfoliating Memory” was a discussion on the issue of abortion. “The Window of Desire” was regarding women exploring their lust and desires. Miss Huang says, “artistic creation is an extremely introverted process of digging into oneself. In this continuous process, I’ve realized that the body is not simply a body, and lust is not just about sex. The human body remembers everything, and a body’s sensation and memories are closely related. How do I capture something that is both tender and swiftly fierce? A subtle feeling that is familiar, and yet fading away? This is something I would like to explore in the future.”
