Film notes
Scratch is an intimate Film told in a naturalist style that captures the difficulties of being honest and exposing ones secrets and lies in a relationship, even at the risk of losing everything.
The film explores the naked complexity, the dynamics between two people facing the reality of being honest in a relationship.
I've always been fascinated by how a relationship established over time, within a few minutes could sink into an abyss of hell where the personal frustration and dissatisfaction purely egocentric explode, destabilizing a world based solely on an ideological compromise of fake truth. Sometimes all it takes is a scratch - a little scratch - to exposes the hidden truths and idea of what we thought was a perfect relationship. Scratch is based on a personal experience, which made me realized how difficult it is to be completely honest with myself and my partner in a relationship, and what’s more, having the courage to accept the consequences (negative or positive) of revealing the naked truth.
