Rags to Rubies
United States | 2010 | 20:00 | Fiction, Live Action
To save his grandfather's farm from foreclosure, a young cobbler, David, heads to the big city in a vain attempt to raise the money. Armed with only with his skill as a cobbler, a duffel bag full of shoes, and his grandmother's Ruby Slippers, David sets out on his journey. He has little success, unable to spur any buyers for his dull handmade footwear. Only when he meets a struggling actress, Emily, does his fortune change. Pointing him to a market for handmade items, David charms the customers and soon sells almost every pair. Davids fortune, however, is short lived when his grandfather suddenly passes away. Lost and in despair, David returns home a failure. Only Emily, in a stroke of luck, has a chance to change David's future forever.
