Viewer Discretion Advised (Tape 96)

On this date night, Vince discovers that Jerry's problems with a former addiction have resurfaced. In the next few minutes, Vince must decide if he will continue to try to salvage the relationship, or accept that he can never measure up to Jerry's desire for Tape 96.

It was truly love at first sight when I saw this story acted on stage in June of 2010, during a collection of gay & lesbian short plays presented by Bindlestiff Studio, a Filipino-American Performing Arts collective in San Francisco.

The story blew me away with its deceptive simplicity, and its outright manipulation of my tendency to pre-judge what I was seeing. "VDA Tape96" got into my head - and my heart - and wouldn't let go.

I immediately tracked down the playwright, and collaborated on the screenplay. Together, with the help of community-based filmmaker support group Scary Cow Productions, we then mounted an all-volunteer cast & crew to share the film version with others.

I could not be more honored or more flattered to be part of this incredibly-talented team of creative individuals. We are all very passionate about this story, and hope that you will help us share it with others.
