Deux Minutes

His name is Two Minutes, as he pretends he can cure anything within this amount of time. In the streets of Uagadugu, Burkina Faso, he sells medicines illegally. Everyday he’s looking for new customers, new targets.

Two Minutes has a lot of imagination: for every pill he thinks of a name and utility, different for each customer. He doesn’t really know where it comes from, or its real use. He doesn’t care, as long as he can eat.

His customers live in the poor districts of the city. Most of them don’t have enough money to pay for medicines in a drugstore, others have more faith in Two Minutes than in the doctors.

He has kids working for him, who see him as their mentor.

The day he learns there is a cholera epidemy in Ouagadougou, he knows he can make a fortune. He succeeds indeed to earn a lot of money, but the cost is heavy : one of his customers’ wife and his favorite apprentice die for lack of effective treatment.
