A young, blind man experiences surreal visions in a world that he once knew in sight and rediscovers sincerity.
Dream life is not limited to sleeping states. Most people are baffled, amused and even impressed by the language of their dreams but remain dismissive of the value of the purity of these imaginative narratives. Fewer still are motivated by inner visions to change their lives inspired by their spontaneity. This unlike the main character of Sincerus who's mind mysteriously projects fantastical visions into his everyday reality. His dreams are also poetic laboratories. Their strange beauty opens his mind and portrays him as a blind individual seeking inner emotional truth in life, Sincerus is influenced by both Surrealism and Magic Realism, and bridges both drama and the experimental genres. This indie short film project film took two years to complete with over 100 creative participants. Sincerus is as a tone poem with expressionistic live action blended with surreal stop-motion animation.
