The Forest

A group of young archaeologists go into the deep forest in Ratanakiri province to search for the old temple that was abandoned many years ago. As they go through the forest, they suddenly get lost and meet a group of robbers who want to find the treasure also. There is no danger until they awaken a giant snake and many other monsters that existed there for hundreds of years because of a curse of a princess who was lost in the waterfalls while trying to evade robbers who wanted her treasure. Many of the archaeologists and robbers died in the forest, so the survivors have no safe way to return. They can only face the monsters if they want to escape.

Film notes

Many of the audience think that The Forest is similar to the Thai film and Hollywood blockbuster Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid as its posters have the same art direction as The Trek's poster.
