Synopsis
Daniel, a young company messenger starting out his working life in the busy capital, is sent on a regular errand for his belligerent boss and bumps unexpectedly into a familiar face, one he can't quite place, or maybe he doesn't want to place. What follows is a horrifying trip with Daniel facing not only his worst nightmare – taking the lift – but also something from his past he thought he had quite literally buried.
Film notes
Ken Evans writes and directs this psychological rollercoaster ride set in contemporary London.
This film originated from a dream I had one night about a terrifying trip in a lift. Some 2 years after this event I have now completed the film and had the premiere screening in London on the 8th April 2009.
This film was only possible because of my involvement with Kingston University, London who helped out with equipment, grip, locations and personnel. The film was virtually self financed with only a small of amount investment required.
This film is the culmination to date of 25 years in the business making all kinds of films. This is my debut in narrative short film.
The film owes much to a brilliant team of people most of whom gave their time for free.
