Film Festival Zlín: International Film Festival for Children and Youth
Zlín film festival belongs among the oldest and largest film events in its category. Established in 1961, the festival has seen dramatic rise in attendace and number of films and screening venues in its 48th edition. Each year the dramaturgy is devoted to presenting one European cinematography, in 2009 with Spanish film being the main focus of the festival.

This year´s festival is going to be one gigantic celebration. Several important anniversaries will be celebrated. We will commemorate 100 years since the birth of the film genius Karel Zeman, 70 years since the first film festival took place within the territory of the Czech Republic - Zlín´s Film Harvest, but most of all we will be celebrating something important to Film Festival Zlín itself this year - its 50th anniversary. In 2010 there will be Days of Czech and Slovak Cinema.
