Oberhausen International Short Film Festival

The first short film festival ever, founded in 1954, is known for its strong profile on avant-garde, experimental works. Four competitions offer a total of almost 40,000 euros prize money. Numerous extra programmes, discussions, video library and market screenings round off the programmes, while the festival venues, all within walking distance to each other, make it one of the easiest festivals to meet people in.
